First Fruit

From a bare trunk to your first finished, banked piece of work.

Every Leefy project starts the same way: a trunk and a lot of possibility. The fastest way to learn how the garden works is to take one small idea all the way to fruit — a finished artifact banked on a node.

This playbook is that first full loop. It deliberately stays small: one leaf, one deliverable, one fruit. Once you have seen a node go from bud to fruit, the rest of Leefy is the same loop at a larger scale.

  1. 1

    Plant the seed

    Describe

Give your trunk a real description: what you are making, and what "done" looks like. Everything the AI does later leans on this.

You’re here when: The tree is just a trunk, and its description does not yet say what success means.

  2. 2

    Grow branches

    Grow

Ask Leefy to grow two or three branches — the big directions the work splits into. Prune anything that does not feel like yours.

You’re here when: The trunk says what you are making, but nothing hangs off it yet.

  3. 3

    Develop one leaf

    Make it doable

Pick a single leaf and make it doable: describe it properly, then let Leefy break it into steps you can actually run. One leaf — resist doing this everywhere at once.

You’re here when: Branches exist, but no single piece of work is concrete enough to start.

  4. 4

    Flower it, then produce

    Produce

When you agree on what the leaf is, approve it — it flowers. Then ask Leefy to produce the deliverable right there.

You’re here when: One leaf is defined well enough that you could say "yes, that is exactly it".

  5. 5

    Or hand off built work

    Code session

If the deliverable lives in a repo or a tool Leefy cannot touch, start a Code session instead — Leefy writes the brief, an agent does the grounded work, you paste the summary back.

You’re here when: The deliverable needs code or an external tool rather than a document Leefy can draft itself.

  6. 6

    Harvest the fruit

    Harvest

Bank the finished artifact on the node. It turns to fruit — earned, never painted on — and your tree has its first proof of work.

You’re here when: Work has come back and there is a finished thing worth keeping.
