- Another subscription? I already pay for ChatGPT/Claude/Lovable. +
- Then don’t add one yet. Start on Free: one tree, full editing, full export, and your own API key doing the AI work. That costs you nothing and it never expires. Upgrade when you open a second project, or when you’d rather Leefy carried the AI cost than your key did. And if you do pay and it isn’t worth it, you have thirty days to get the money back.
- $39 is more than Lovable charges to build the whole app. +
- Lovable builds what you tell it to. Leefy is where you work out what to tell it. Three months spent burning $200 of credits rebuilding the wrong thing costs more than a year of Grove ($468) — that’s the arithmetic, and it’s the only argument I’ll make on price. Everything else is: it’s free to start, and if you pay and I’m wrong, thirty days, money back.
- What’s a deliverable? Sounds like credits with a nicer name. +
- Fair challenge. The difference is what’s being counted: a credit meters an invisible input you can’t predict; a deliverable meters a finished thing you asked for and can point at. The exact list of what uses one and what doesn’t is published on the pricing page. And if you use your own key, deliverables aren’t consumed at all.
- What’s the catch on the free tier? +
- You bring your own API key, so the AI cost is yours rather than mine. That’s the whole trade, and it’s the reason I can offer the tier at all. One tree, everything else open, exports included, forever.
- Can’t I just do this in ChatGPT or a doc? +
- You have been. Where is that plan now? Chat scrolls away; docs go stale. The tree is the only version of your plan that is still alive next week — and it hands itself to your build tools.
- Is this another tool I’ll abandon in two weeks? +
- Everything you grow exports to Markdown, Word, PDF and named Claude Code sessions. Cancel and you drop to the free tier with every tree still there — I don’t delete your work to make leaving painful. Tools you can exit freely are the ones people stay in.
- Does Leefy only work with Claude Code? +
- Leefy is built for Claude Code first: named sessions, one-click handoff, and a session ledger so work stays on the tree. You can still copy any prompt or export into Cursor, Grok, or another coding agent — the plan and context leave with you. First-class session control for other agents may come later; it is not required to use the garden.
- Doesn’t Claude Code / Grok already have planning mode? +
- Yes — and they’re excellent at planning how to code the next slice. Leefy is where you decide what slices exist, why, what’s out of scope, and which named session owns each piece. Plan modes are session tools. The tree is the product plan those sessions run from — and harvest back into.
- Do you connect to GitHub and Vercel for me? +
- No black-box deploy. Leefy keeps the plan; GitHub and Vercel stay in their own UIs. When you are ready to ship, follow the step-by-step guides (GitHub, then Vercel) in Help & support inside the app and bring the repo or live URL back into the tree. I never claim “deployed” unless you finish that path.
- I’m stuck at 70% — planning feels like going backwards. +
